WKF announces new list of qualified athletes for ANOC World Beach Games |

The World Karate Federation has published an extended list of qualified athletes for the ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019. New names have been added up to the line-up of karatekas after the Karate World Championships which were held in Madrid in November.
No less than 28 athletes from 20 countries have earned the ticket to participate in the anticipated event. The Karate competition of the ANOC World Beach Games will take place in San Diego from October 10 to 11.
The list of competitors to represent Karate at the ANOC World Beach Games is headed by the newly-proclaimed Kata World champions. Ryo Kiyuna of Japan and Sandra Sanchez of Spain won the World crown after their impressive demonstrations in the World Championships in Madrid.
The runners-up in Karate’s biggest tournament, Damian Quintero of Spain and Kiyou Shimizu of Japan will also participate in San Diego. Two-time World title-holder Antonio Diaz of Venezuela, rising star Grace Lau Mo Sheung of Hong Kong and two-time World Championships bronze medallist Viviana Bottaro of Italy are also among the qualified athletes to take part in ANOC World Beach Games San Diego 2019.

World Shotokan Federation WSF Executive Commitee decided to promote Mr. Adrian Popescu Sacele with 9.Dan in Albena, Bulgaria.
Sensei Adrian Popescu – Sacele has an impressive business card and an enviable sports career. Currently he is the President of the Romanian Karate Modern Federation and the Karate Club League – Do Shotokan Fudokan, based in Brasov. Born in 1951 in Focsani, the first contact with the performance sport started at the Sports High School in Brasov where he practiced gymnastics.
This helped later not only in terms of mobility but also in terms of the elegance and accuracy of the Karate movements. Passion for KarateDo dates back to 1972, at a time when martial arts were forbidden by communist authorities.

Primăria Capitalei, în parteneriat cu Federația Română de Judo și European Judo Union, au dat startul Campionatului European al Cluburilor la Judo, ediția 2018 – Liga Europei si Liga Campionilor (masculin și feminin).
În prealabil s-a desfășurat tragerea la sorți a meciurilor contând pentru Liga Campionilor, unde țara noastră este reprezentată de CSM București (masculin) și U CSM Dinamo Cluj-Napoca (feminin).
La întâlnirea cu presa, pe lângă oficialii FR Judo, a fost prezentă și marea campioană, Gabriela Szabo, președintele Consiliului de Administrație al Companiei Municipale Sport pentru Toți București SA și preșdinte al clubului CSM București. “Este o mare onoare pentru București să găzduiască o astfel de competiție tocmai anul acesta, și la câteva zile după ce România a sărbătorit 100 de ani de la reîntregirea neamului”, a spus fosta mare sportivă în fața ziariștilor prezenți!
