                   This year’s European Championship in Tampere, Finland is full of suprises.

    The biggest suprise is defenetly that Rafael Aghayev [AZE] is not competing at the Championship. This information was realesed on 26th of April on official website of Azerbaijan Federation. As it says, Rafael is recovering from a recent knee operation so he won’t be able to compete. Azerbaijan Male Kumite Team has lost their best fighter. He will be replaced with Hasanov Rafiz in Male Kumite -75 kg category.

As it could be read on Alexandra Recchia [FRA] facebook page, she is unfortunately also going to miss this year’s European Championship due to injury from the last Wednesday night training. Alexandra is a current european and world champion. She will be replaced by a young Sophia Bouderbane who had one against Alexandra at Franch national championship in finals few weeks ago. According to draw, in the first round Sofia will be fighting against Alexandra’s biggest rival Serap Ozcelik from Turkey.

   We are delighted to announce that the Asian MMA Championship will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan on May, 23 - 24-th 2014 under the auspices of the World Mixed Martial Arts Association (WMMAA).Allow to point that the Certified Judges seminar will be also held on May 21-22, 2014 from 10 AM to 07 PM.

   The goal of WMMAA is the development and popularization of amateur MMA in Eurasia and around the world.Approximately 30 countries preliminary confirmed their participation in the Championship.Athletes will compete in the following weight classes:65.8 kg; 70.3 kg; 77.1 kg; 84.0 kg; 93.0 kg; over 93.0 kg
